With a myriad of airlines in the market today, one may get confused about which airline to travel on. But no matter which airline you choose, it is important that you compare their services to select a travel experience to suit your needs the most. Here a a few tips for you to have a smooth flight ahead.

When Booking Air Tickets...

1. Please read the Conditions of Carriage, as it states clearly what you are or are not entitled to.

2. Ensure that your personal particulars are printed correctly. In the event of last-minutes changes to flight schedules, airlines contact their passengers via your personal particulars. If a passenger's name on the airticket does not correspond with his/her name on the passport, he/she will not be allowed to board the plane.

3. When booking flights online, check the services that you need and un-check those that you do not require.

4. Allocate ample time for connecting flights.

5. Consider if you need travel insurance to cover flight disruptions that the airline is not liable for.

Before Your Flight

1. Ensure your passport has at least 6 months validity before you travel.

2. Check your email and mobile phone for any notifications or changes of flight schedules.

3. If the airline cancels your flight, you may be transferred to the next flight, according to the Conditions of Carriage. If you choose to make your own alternative arrangements, airlines generally refund the cost of the original ticket

Checking In, Before Boarding

1. Check in early to have ample time to complete ticketing, baggage check and security procedures.

2. Ensure that you are at the boarding gate early.

When you arrive

1. If you do not receive your luggage on arrival, inform the airline immediately. They might reimburse you upon proof of receipt.
